OPPORTUNITIES IN FAITH LEARNING

The Sacraments of Baptism and Communion

The Sacrament of Baptism marks a person's entrance into the Christian Community of Faith as a "Covenant Member" of Central Church. The Minister and the Elders provide learning opportunities for the Baptismal candidate, (or the parents), as requested.

We welcome the occasion to celebrate your entrance, (or your child's entrance), into God's family and promise you will receive the support of the congregation as we further develop and nurture our Christian Faith.

Confirmation Classes

Becoming a "Professing Member" of the Church is an important step in a young person's life. This year, the Fall Semester of the Senior Class gave young people the basics of the Christian Faith.

Adult Communicant's Classes

Adult Communicant's Classes follow the same model as the Confirmation Classes, but are designed for adults who wish to become "Professing Members", or who desire a review of the basics of Christian life and faith.

The Rite of Marriage

A Christian Wedding Service celebrates God's gift of love as it is experienced by the bride and groom, their family and friends. Growth in the pre-marriage relationship is nurtured through regular Sunday worship and marriage preparation classes.

It is prudent to contact the Minister 8 to 12 months before your proposed celebration. The day and time of the wedding, as well as the prayers, readings and music are chosen in consultation with the Minister and the Director of Music.
